Pointe West Beach Club
The home includes access to the Pointe West Beach Club, which includes pools and hot tubs over two locations, a lazy river, wonderful restaurant, bar, and game room. Access to the beach club is $25 per person (for your entire visit), wristband and door codes provided when you check in to the Beach Club. The resort features the widest, most beautiful beaches in Galveston as well as the beach club swimming pools and hot tub facing the beach, a fitness center, game room, corn hole and gift shop.
A basketball court is a short walk or quick golf card ride past the beach club. A short ride to the bay side allows you to visit another pool, lazy river and hot tub.
Please be aware that we do allow guests to bring dogs (2 or less of any size) and we have dogs of our own that occasionally come to the home so if you have severe pet allergies please take note.
We have a security system with a doorbell camera at the front entrance. There are 2 other exterior cameras on the property that are not monitored.
Wildlife Warnings – Tranquil Turtle is located in one of the most beautiful and natural settings in Texas. This nature includes bugs and insects big and small, animals, crabs, sharks, bees, rattlesnakes and more. We have pest control and set rattlesnake traps on the perimeter of the property. Occasionally, however, nature will enter the Tranquil Turtle and should not be cause for alarm. If you have any issue with pests, please contact us immediately.

Summary: The property can fit a large group and is part of a community with many activity options along with indirect beach access. The sunsets views over the bay from the back porch were very popular with the family. We used the beach access close by where we could park our cars right next to us, a helpful perk since we had older grandparents with us. We enjoyed the local community clubhouse and pools for a break from the beach. Host was very thorough, helpful, and checked in mid-stay to ensure we were comfortable. We would definitely consider the property again for a future family vacation.

Summary: The Tranquil Turtle is such a beautiful home and perfect gathering place! We have never stayed in such a well stocked home--it had everything we needed and more, including beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and the six-seater golf cart, Sunny. This home gives the best of both worlds in Galveston. While it sits on the bay with stunning sunset and night sky views from both decks, Sunny the golf cart offers easy access to the beach side in just a short and pleasurable drive. We made wonderful memories playing in the surf and night time walks at the beach. We screamed in laughter when we watched creepy crabs scuttle across our flashlight beam at night, and stood in awed wonder as the moon rose out of the ocean glowing RED! It was surreal! We explored the bay--it is very shallow and walkable for a long way. We caught and released blue crabs and various fish. We saw many varieties of birds, hermit crabs, and fish. We even walked the bay at night for a thrill because it comes alive with all kinds of fish and crabs to net and observe in a bucket with the children. The home is expansive with perfect accommodations for everyone--even roll away beds with very comfortable mattresses. We love the privacy each room offered and the cozy beds. The Cabana house offers a perfect spot for extra privacy. Under the house is perfect for hammocking. Owners were easy to reach and very friendly. Concierge even picked up grocery order and stocked the home before our arrival! Perfection!

Summary: Exceptionally large, very clean, updated house. It was large enough to wander around and not get tired of seeing the same people. Private beach-nice. In our 48 years of renting, we've never had a well stocked house like this. I didn't have to bring any kitchen utensils! My only disappointment is that the beautiful deck did not have working electricity. We usually spent a lot of time on the deck but it was just too hot and still. Bikes were a nice added touch.

Summary: This house was amazing. The owners thought of everything. It was clean, and nicely decorated. The golf cart came in handy getting to the beach club. Lots of nice dishes, pans, and extras. We really enjoyed our stay. There were 13 of us, and we made lots of nice memories here. Kristen was great at answering our questions promptly. Beautiful area.

Summary: This is a lovely property. The house is laid out nicely with bedrooms/bathrooms and joint living spaces. The kitchen is fantastic and amazingly well stocked. The outside fireplace w/ TV was lots of fun to play games. While a bit of a drive to Galveston, it travels quickly and is a pretty drive. Enjoyable getaway for 2 families with older kiddo's.
